What kind of special educational needs do you support?

How do you decide which tutor is right for my child?
We begin with a conversation about your child's needs, strengths and current school situation. We then match them with a tutor who has relevant experience, and we invite your feedback after the first few sessions so the arrangement can be adjusted.
Do sessions take place at home or online?
We offer both. Many families choose online sessions for convenience, while others prefer a tutor to visit at home. We discuss which format suits your child during the initial enquiry, as some pupils concentrate better in one setting than the other.
How long is a typical tutoring session?
Most sessions run for one hour, though we can arrange shorter sessions of forty-five minutes for younger children or those who tire quickly. The length is reviewed as your child becomes more settled with the tutor and the routine.
Can you work alongside my child's school and support plan?
Yes. We are happy to align our teaching with the targets in an education, health and care plan or an individual education plan, and we can share brief progress notes with you to pass on to school staff where that is helpful.
What are your rates and how do we pay?
Our rates depend on the tutor, the length of the session and whether it takes place online or at home. We confirm the exact cost in writing before your first session, and invoices are issued monthly with payment by bank transfer.
